Yeongyang-gun, Gyeongbuk, conducted nutrition education and parenting classes for 48 Dream Start children and their caregivers on the 25th.
This education took place at the Jang Gyehyang Cultural Experience Center in Seokgye Doodle Village, a serene hanok with beautiful charm. The program included an introduction to the Food Dimi Room, a cooking experience of Japgwa Pyeonbeop (rice cakes with Japgwa), language and behavior etiquette education to cultivate children's character, and a government official-style meal experience, allowing children and parents to communicate and participate together.
As part of the nutrition education, a chili paste-making meal kit experience kit and an egg and mixed grain bundle set were also provided in connection with Yeongyang-gun local food to prevent picky eating and supply balanced nutrition for children.
A parent who participated in the program said, “I am very grateful to have this special and wonderful time to create memories with my child.”
County Governor Oh Do-chang stated, “I hope this education serves as an opportunity to recognize once again the importance of parents' roles in the proper growth of children. We will continue to support children to grow happily and healthily through various themed education and experiences.”
