Promoting Investment Attraction for K-Content Startups

The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and the Korea Creative Content Agency will hold the 'KNock Demoday' on the 27th at Cosiety Seoul Forest in Seongdong-gu, Seoul. This event supports early-stage K-content startups in attracting investment. Ten companies selected through a three-month process of company evaluation and one-on-one mentoring to strengthen investment attraction capabilities will participate. These include StorinLab, Toonimotion, MaroStudio, OmniArt, OphimDigital, VVR, SlateMedia, SingingBeetle, SpaceOddity, and Duribeon. They will present their businesses and exchange opinions in front of about seventy domestic investors to seek investment opportunities.

So far, the coordination has led to quite meaningful results. Since 2015, 278 content companies have had investment opportunities through 'KNock.' Each has laid the foundation for continued growth and accumulated mutual understanding with the financial sector. Especially in 2021, four companies collectively attracted 5.9 billion KRW in investment. The scale could grow even larger next year. For the first time, the event will be held overseas, opening paths for overseas investment attraction and entry into the global market.
