Mental healthcare startup 'Andrea,' which develops AI services to prevent, diagnose, and treat mental health issues, has successfully completed a total seed investment of 400 million KRW by securing investment from Seoul National University Technology Holdings following investment from Hallym University Technology Holdings.

Andrea is preparing to launch the mental healthcare app Ssokdak Ssokdak, which allows anyone to manage their mental health easily with reduced burden. The Ssokdak Ssokdak app helps users record their daily emotions as a diary to manage and prevent current mental states and stress. It analyzes users' emotions, lifestyle, and biometric data through AI technology to match similar users and provides a personalized mental health management service that contributes to stress relief through a 1:1 conversation community feature.

Andrea's CEO, Kim Seonghoon, stated, "One in four adults experiences mental health issues, but only 12.1% of those diagnosed with mental disorders receive professional help. I wanted to comfort the nation's minds with a solution that allows anyone to easily manage mental health digitally." He added, "This investment will be a valuable stepping stone to continue this challenge."

Sim Sangwoo, an investment officer at Seoul National University Technology Holdings responsible for this investment, said, "We highly evaluated Andrea's excellent technology that can digitally address the insufficient domestic mental health infrastructure compared to OECD countries, as well as CEO Kim Seonghoon's sincerity and drive for the service, which led us to proceed with the investment." He added, "We hope it will establish itself as a leading domestic solution that helps manage the mental health of the entire nation."

Andrea, preparing to launch the mental health management app 'Ssokdak Ssokdak,' which has obtained a 'TI-3' grade certification in the investment technology credit evaluation (TCB) conducted by the technology credit evaluation agency eCredible, plans to actively collaborate with Hallym University Sacred Heart Hospital and Seoul National University Hospital to advance its mental health management services and address mental health issues through this investment.
