On the 25th, Buk-gu, Gwangju Metropolitan City announced that it will hold the 'Dabuk Dabuk Book Festival' on the 28th to promote reading culture.
The Dabuk Dabuk Book Festival is an event organized in cooperation with local small libraries and reading organizations to create a festival where all generations communicate through books, aiming to promote harmony between generations and spread reading culture.
Held under the theme "Gifting Today with Books," this event will take place around Sinyong Neighborhood Park, with about 800 local residents attending. Various programs such as storytelling, lectures, reading playgrounds, and celebratory performances will be held from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
As a special event, the storytelling program will feature Moon In, the Buk-gu mayor, who will narrate the fairy tale book "It's Okay, Mister." The lecture program includes a meeting with the rainbow author Yoon Mi-kyung.
Additionally, 10 reading-related institutions and organizations will participate, operating various reading culture experience booths. Family-oriented reading experience play spaces and resting areas such as children's song trains, pop-up book exhibitions, and Indian tents will also be provided for all generations to enjoy together.
