KISA Holds Joint Recruitment Briefing for Personal Information Impact Assessment Agencies

The Korea Internet & Security Agency (KISA) announced that it will hold the "Joint Recruitment Briefing Session for Personal Information Impact Assessment Agencies" online on the 31st to alleviate the recruitment difficulties faced by small and medium-sized enterprises. Since 2021, KISA has been hosting annual recruitment briefings to ease the challenges faced by impact assessment agencies and specialized personnel.

In particular, with the enforcement of the revised Personal Information Protection Act this year, a penalty system for failure to conduct personal information impact assessments and a requirement to disclose summaries of impact assessment reports have been introduced. Demand for impact assessments by public institutions is expected to increase. In response to these changes in demand, impact assessment agencies plan to expand their recruitment scale compared to the previous year, hiring approximately 60 specialized personnel.

This recruitment briefing session will involve 11 impact assessment agencies, including Igloo Co., Somaansa, and SK Shieldus. Following the briefing, one-on-one recruitment consultations between employers and job seekers will take place. The briefing session is targeted at specialized personnel in personal information impact assessment, and applications can be submitted through the Personal Information Portal (www.privacy.go.kr) until the 29th.

Na Eun-ah, Head of the Personal Information Policy Division at KISA, stated, "Through this recruitment briefing session, we hope that impact assessment agencies will secure sufficient specialized personnel, and that these professionals will actively engage within the agencies." She added, "KISA will continue to support the personal information impact assessment system and contribute to creating a personal information processing environment that the public can trust."
