Over 32,600 Units of Brand Apartments by Top 10 Construction Companies
14 Large Complexes with Over 1,000 Units Each
As the year-end approaches, a flood of housing units that had postponed their sales schedules is pouring out. In particular, a large number of units from the top 10 construction companies with established brands and large apartment complexes with over 1,000 households are expected to be offered, heating up the year-end sales market.
According to Real Estate Info, a real estate market analysis firm, a total of 97,142 households across 109 complexes nationwide are expected to be offered for sale by the end of the year. Among these, 66,757 households (based on private apartments, including rental units), excluding union members’ shares, will be available for general sale.
Among them, the top 10 construction companies will offer 32,661 households (25,082 for general sale) across 39 sites. This accounts for about 33.6% of the total units for sale.
Among the construction companies, Daewoo Construction, ranked 3rd in contract ranking, will present the largest volume with 6,789 households. GS Construction follows with 6,254 households, and POSCO E&C supplies 6,240 households.
Large complexes with over 1,000 households among the units for sale also stand out.
First, POSCO E&C is supplying ‘The Sharp Uijeongbu Station Link City’ in Uijeongbu-dong, Uijeongbu-si, Gyeonggi Province. It is a large complex with a total of 1,401 households ranging from 84 to 165㎡ in exclusive area, built on the former US military return site Camp LaGuardia urban development project. This complex is within walking distance to Uijeongbu Station, and once the GTX-C line opens, it will be possible to reach Seoul Samsung in about 20 minutes.
Daewoo Construction is presenting ‘Tangjeong Prugio River Park’ in the Asan Tangjeong Techno General Industrial Complex, Asan-si, Chungnam Province. It is designed as a medium-to-small sized complex with a total of 1,626 households, ranging from 59 to 84㎡ in exclusive area. Located near Cheonan-Asan Station, residents can use KTX and SRT, and conveniently access large commercial facilities and infrastructure around Cheonan-Asan Station.
In Yongdap-dong, Seongdong-gu, Seoul, GS Construction is supplying ‘Cheonggye Riverview Xi’ through the redevelopment of Yongdap-dong. Out of a total of 1,670 households, 797 are for general sale. It is a double-station complex accessible to both Dapsimni Station on Seoul Subway Line 5 and Yongdap Station on Line 2.
Hyundai Construction is currently selling ‘Hillstate The Wave City’ in Jeongwang-dong, Siheung-si, Gyeonggi Province, located in Siwha MTV. It is a large-scale residential complex combining 851 apartments and 945 officetel units. Situated in Siwha MTV, where advanced industry and marine leisure industry facilities coexist, it offers easy access to workplaces and leisure facilities.
An official from the sales industry said, “Since many complexes are released in a short period, it is important to carefully consider factors that can add value to the apartment after completion, such as location and development environment, before applying for subscription, and to choose places that can create synergy with the brand.”
