Dobong-gu Office Breaking Team's Kim Hong-yeol Wins World's Largest Breaking Competition

At the '2023 Red Bull BC One World Final,' Kim Hong-yeol Wins His Third Title... Sets Unprecedented Record by Winning the World's Largest 1:1 Breaking Battle... Dominates Korean-Canadian Phil Wizard (Philim Kim) 5-0 in Finals

Kim Hong-ryeol (Hongten), a member of the Dobong-gu Office Breaking Team, once again proved his skills following his silver medal at the Hangzhou Asian Games.

Dobong-gu (Mayor Oh Eon-seok) announced that Kim Hong-ryeol (Hongten), a member of the Dobong-gu Office Breaking Team, won the championship at the '2023 Red Bull BC One World Final' held in Paris, France on the 22nd.

The Red Bull BC One competition is one of the world's top four B-boying events where the best players gather. Kim Hong-ryeol (Hongten) was the only player from Korea invited by Red Bull to participate as a wild card without going through regional qualifiers.

In this competition, Kim Hong-ryeol (Hongten) advanced to the finals by winning consecutive matches against the world's top-ranked players and defeated Canadian player Phil Wizard (Phil Lim Kim), who is of Korean descent, with an overwhelming 5-0 decision.

With this victory, Kim Hong-ryeol (Hongten) has set an unprecedented record by winning championships in the 2000s, 2010s, and 2020s, having previously won in 2006 and 2013.
