Yujagol Goheung Hanwoo Expands Promotional Marketing Efforts

Discount Sales During Goheung Yuja Festival Period

Strengthening Brand Presence of Charcoal Grilled Restaurant Operations

Goheung-gun, Jeollanam-do (Governor Gong Young-min) announced that to celebrate the 3rd Goheung Yuja Festival, from November 3rd to 5th, for three days, they will offer discounted sales and operate a charcoal-grilled restaurant featuring ‘Yujagol Goheung Hanwoo’ for visitors.


The development of the ‘Yujagol Goheung Hanwoo’ premium power brand is a core policy project of the 8th local government administration. A brand business unit was formed, a corporation established, and participating farms were integrated. Since April, 400 heads of cattle have been slaughtered with the goal for this year, and sales are conducted both online and offline. Various new initiatives are being pursued to elevate the brand to the nation’s top level, with dedicated efforts underway.

This event offers the ‘Yujagol Goheung Hanwoo’ brand beef at discounts of up to 30%, and through the operation of a self-service charcoal-grilled restaurant on-site, the local festival aims to transform into a profitable event that benefits local farmers.


As a pre-event on November 2nd, local journalists residing in Goheung-gun were invited to a tasting session to serve as promotional ambassadors. The organizers pledged to do their best in promotion and marketing to establish Yujagol Goheung Hanwoo as the nation’s top brand.


Meanwhile, as of 2022, Goheung Hanwoo ranks 5th nationwide in the number of excellent cows owned according to the Korea Animal Improvement Association, and leads Jeollanam-do with 34% of carcasses graded 1++ or higher by the Livestock Products Quality Evaluation Service, producing superior calves and premium beef.


A county official stated, “‘Yujagol Goheung Hanwoo’ produces premium beef superior to any domestic brand. Through strengthened promotion and marketing, we plan to build a solid reputation and establish it as the undisputed top domestic brand recognized by consumers for consistent trust.”
