The participants of this fam tour were 10 overseas specialized buyers from Singapore, Malaysia, China, the Philippines, and Thailand, whose main clients are MICE groups, companies, and academic societies. Yeosu was the only city in the Jeonnam region to independently conduct the 'Resort MICE Yeosu' fam tour.

These overseas specialized buyer companies plan to introduce Korean tours to incentive groups visiting Korea via Gimhae International Airport and attract MICE events. Yeosu is determined to ignite the rapidly growing Yeosu MICE industry simply by focusing their attention on Yeosu.

The city recruited and selected applicants among the fam tour participants and supported them with visits to major tourist sites in Yeosu and events such as the Admiral Yi Sun-sin Signal Fire Experience from the 18th to the 20th for 2 nights and 3 days, promoting the charm of Yeosu.

In particular, on the first day, the 18th, a welcome networking event was held at JCS Hotel with MICE facility officials to promote major conference facilities, tourist resources, and MICE incentive support systems, highlighting Yeosu as the optimal location for MICE events.

Jung Jae-ho, Director of the Fisheries Tourism Bureau, said, “Not only has Yeosu’s MICE industry fully recovered to pre-COVID levels, but we will not be complacent despite the rapid growth. For the remainder of this year, we will further accelerate overseas corporate MICE attraction activities such as participating in overseas MICE roadshows and exhibitions, and signing business agreements for joint MICE marketing with major overseas companies.”

Meanwhile, on the 13th, Yeosu held a MICE roadshow targeting about 40 companies including the Philippine Department of Tourism, Tourism Promotion Agency, and participating companies at the Mathieu Hotel, continuing steady MICE attraction activities.
