Hometown Development Commitment Ceremony for Hometown Love Donation Fund Held Together

On the 21st, Damyang-gun, Jeollanam-do announced on the 23rd that it held a Hometown Visit Day event attended by about 500 people, including the Jaegyeong Damyang-gun Hometown Association, related organizations, and groups.

The event was attended by about 400 hometown members including Lee Seong-baek, president of the Jaegyeong Damyang-gun Hometown Association, Lee Byeong-no, county governor, National Assembly members Lee Gae-ho, Jo O-seop, Yoon Young-duk, Damyang-gun Council Chairman Choi Yong-man, Jeollanam-do council members Park Jong-won and Lee Gyu-hyeon, and county council members.

The event held at Dambit Music Hall was filled with a welcoming speech, dinner, Ganggangsullae performance, invited singer congratulatory performances, and hometown members’ talent show.

Also, the Damyang-gun Women’s Association prepared the dinner for the event, and 12 towns and townships supported various fruits and foods to welcome the hometown members visiting their hometown.

Furthermore, on the day, a performance expressing the spirit of participating in the Hometown Love Donation Campaign and the heart for hometown development was held, along with a pledge ceremony for a 1 billion KRW hometown love donation.

Governor Lee Byeong-no said, “We will do our best for the development of Damyang-gun by harnessing the passionate love for the hometown of the hometown members,” and added, “I sincerely thank President Lee Seong-baek and the hometown members who always send generous support and backing for the hometown.”

Lee Seong-baek, president of the Jaegyeong Damyang-gun Hometown Association, said, “Receiving such warm hospitality in the hometown where I was born and raised makes me feel pride and love for the hometown,” and added, “I thank everyone who works hard for the development of Damyang, and the Jaegyeong Damyang Hometown Association will also take the lead in protecting the hometown with one heart.”
