Launch of 'Ansim Life All-in-One Package' to Support Small Business Owners
To prevent livelihood crimes targeting small-scale stores, which have been increasing recently, S-1 has introduced a specialized solution. Small business owners are facing deep concerns as management difficulties caused by high interest rates and high inflation are compounded by the threat of crime.
On the 23rd, S-1 announced the launch of the 'Safe Life All-in-One Package' to ease the worries of small business owners. This service provides three types of high-definition CCTV and theft/fire compensation. First, a 2-megapixel Full HD camera enables monitoring both day and night. Customers can choose from three types of cameras depending on the store environment: a cloud camera that stores video without physical storage devices, an IP camera that is easy to install with a LAN cable supplying both communication and power, and an analog HD camera known for stable operation. Additionally, through a partnership with LG Uplus, stable internet service is provided to operate high-definition CCTV without interruption.
Another advantage is that Samsung Fire & Marine Insurance’s theft and fire compensation services help small business owners focus on store operations with peace of mind. Theft compensation covers up to 10 million KRW, and fire compensation covers up to 20 million KRW.
Most notably, the service is available at a reasonable cost. S-1 explained that it is up to 23% cheaper compared to subscribing separately to CCTV, internet, and theft/fire compensation services. Previously, infrastructure necessary for store operation had to be applied for individually from different companies, but the 'Safe Life All-in-One Package' allows for one-stop application and payment.
S-1 expects this solution to contribute to crime prevention in small business stores suffering from the dual hardships of management difficulties and increasing crime. Recently, due to high inflation and minimum wage increases, the number of small business closures has surged. According to Statistics Korea, the proportion of small business owners among all employed persons last year was 20.1%, the lowest since statistics began in 1963. In addition, thefts under 100,000 KRW, so-called livelihood crimes, have nearly tripled, causing small business owners to suffer from fear of crime damage.
An S-1 representative said, "We introduced the Safe Life Package to help small business owners operate their stores safely and use security solutions affordably," adding, "As a social enterprise, we will continue to support the expansion of social infrastructure related to safety and take the lead in creating a safe society."
