Shinhan Bank will begin recruiting applicants for the 'Voice Phishing Zero' project support from the 23rd.
'Voice Phishing Zero' is a project promoted by Shinhan Bank in collaboration with the Financial Supervisory Service, the National Police Agency, the Community Chest of Korea, and Good Neighbors to support the daily recovery of victims of telecommunication financial fraud, and to raise awareness and prevent financial fraud among the entire population. In May, Shinhan Bank signed an agreement to donate a total of 30 billion KRW over three years to the Community Chest of Korea for victim support and prevention projects related to voice phishing.
The first-year project period for Shinhan Bank's Voice Phishing Zero runs until June next year. Specific support includes ▲emergency living expense support for victim recovery ▲legal consultation support for telecommunication financial fraud lawsuits ▲psychological counseling cost support to alleviate psychological difficulties caused by telecommunication financial fraud ▲victim prevention education through dispatching instructors to local community organizations ▲free provision of voice phishing insurance, among others.
