The National Seoul School for the Blind is a special education institution for visually impaired students with a history of over 110 years. It operates an integrated curriculum covering all educational stages from kindergarten to major courses equivalent to university programs across its Jongno and Yongsan campuses.
This donation was made as part of the "Copper Friends Campaign," which aims to raise public awareness of copper's antimicrobial properties. The Copper Friends Campaign is a public initiative started in 2021 to promote the effectiveness of using antimicrobial copper in public facilities for preventing infectious diseases.
The International Copper Association and LS MnM have previously supported antimicrobial copper door handles at Chonnam National University Medical School and provided antimicrobial copper mats and masks to the National Korea Kyungjin School as part of the campaign activities. In July of this year, they also signed a business agreement with the National Korea Kyungjin School to apply antimicrobial copper products to create a healthy educational environment.
Choi Tae-seon, Head of Business Strategy Division (Executive Director) at LS MnM, stated, “We will continue to explore various ways to utilize copper for a healthier and more hygienic environment.”
