Kim Min-su, spokesperson for the People Power Party, made remarks suggesting that if former party leader Lee Jun-seok leaves the party, the approval rating would rise in the long term. In response, Lee Jun-seok reacted angrily, while Kim Jae-won, a Supreme Council member of the People Power Party, expressed agreement with Kim Min-su's statement.

On the 20th, Kim Jae-won said on KBS's "Choi Kyung-young's Strong Current Affairs," "They will focus their attacks on the party until December, before the nomination applications, saying 'This is why I could not stay in this party,' and then leave the party. Therefore, in the long run, quickly pushing them out benefits the party," adding, "Overall, if it results in a 3% increase, I agree with spokesperson Kim's statement."

Earlier, spokesperson Kim analyzed an article quoting an insider from the party saying, "If former leader Lee leaves the party, the approval rating will drop by 3-4%," and stated that "in the long term, it will rise by 3-4%." In response, Lee shared the broadcast and raised his voice, saying, "Expel me."

Kim Jae-won said, "In the short term, the approval rating will fall," but he agreed with spokesperson Kim's forecast.

He also criticized former leader Lee as a "hyena-like politician." He said, "Lee went to Daegu and compared the Daegu lawmakers to cats that only eat up the food. I don't understand why the Daegu lawmakers tolerate such hyena-like people," adding, "Focusing only on internal party fights, comparing party lawmakers to cats that only eat up food, and likening the president to a tyrant?such people are difficult to see as lawmakers or politicians belonging to the ruling party."

He continued, "There should be at least some courtesy, and such extreme behavior toward the party is wrong," adding, "I believe these hyena-like politicians need to exercise some self-restraint."
