Jungnang-gu (Mayor Ryu Kyung-gi) will host the 'Green Jungnang Festival' at Myeonmok Sports Park near Gyeomjaegyo Bridge on the 21st and 22nd, organized jointly by the social economy and local communities.
The Green Jungnang Festival was prepared through the collaboration of social economy enterprises, resident organizations, and small business owners in Jungnang-gu to promote eco-friendly production and consumption, resource circulation activities, and to create a space where local residents can communicate and harmonize.
At the festival, visitors can experience the unique characteristics of Jungnang-gu's local economy through eco-friendly social economy products, games and experiences prepared by village groups, and a residents' flea market.
Additionally, the event will be enriched with food trucks operated by local small business owners, an emotional photo zone decorated with eco-friendly paper flowers, dance performances and concerts, and children's sports events, offering a variety of food and entertainment.
Moreover, various gifts and souvenirs sponsored by social economy enterprises and village organizations will be distributed. In particular, participants who bring their own personal utensils such as water bottles or plates will receive a 1,000 KRW discount coupon for food and up to a 5,000 KRW discount coupon based on their purchase amount.
Ryu Kyung-gi, Mayor of Jungnang-gu, said, "The Green Jungnang Festival, held for the first time this year, is especially meaningful because it was created with the participation of various local entities," adding, "I hope this festival will be an opportunity to raise interest in the social economy and to think together about the sustainable development of Jungnang-gu."
