Hosting of Dongjak-gu Residents' Unity Sports Competition

Dongjak-gu (Mayor Park Il-ha) announced that the ‘2023 Dongjak-gu Residents Harmony Sports Festival’ will be held from 10 a.m. on the 21st at Noryangjin Football Stadium.

The ‘Dongjak-gu Residents Harmony Sports Festival’ is a festival of communication and harmony that all residents of Dongjak-gu, including athletes, cheering squads, and families from 15 neighborhoods, can enjoy. Especially this year, the ‘Whole Family Sports Play Day’ will be held simultaneously for family visitors.

The festival begins with the entrance ceremony of the athletes and the opening ceremony. This is followed by an opening performance by the Taekwondo demonstration team and warm-up exercises.

The competitions consist of four events that require teamwork: Ojami basketball, color plate flipping, tug of war, and obstacle relay race. Various side events that anyone visiting the site can participate in will also be held.

On the grass plaza inside Noryangjin Football Stadium, there are traditional play experiences for families such as ▲Yutnori, limbo, and tuho ▲sports play equipment such as balloon play frames (air bounce), darts, and basketball ▲and rest areas.

Also, since the festival is enjoyed by all generations together, various side events such as ▲face painting, calligraphy experience halls ▲direct transaction markets ▲and promotional booths have been prepared.

At the closing ceremony, congratulatory performances by the winners (Grand Prize, Popularity Award) of the 26th Nodeul Song Festival and stages by invited singers Park Mi-kyung, Seo Ga-bi, and Taebaek will be held, concluding the festival in a lively atmosphere.

The district has formed a safety management task force to ensure the safe progress of the event and is prepared to respond promptly to any safety accidents such as medical emergencies, fires, and traffic incidents.

Park Il-ha, Mayor of Dongjak-gu, said, “As this is an event where all residents gather in one place for the first time in four years, I hope it will be a place of harmony where memories can be made on an autumn day,” and added, “Above all, we will prepare so that residents can safely enjoy the festival.”
