Gwangju Nam-gu to Operate Childcare Classes for Grandparents Starting the 30th

Nam-gu, Gwangju Metropolitan City, is introducing a childcare class program for grandparents as the number of grandfathers and grandmothers taking care of their grandchildren increases due to the economic activities of dual-income couples.

According to Nam-gu on the 17th, the "Precious Our Grandchildren Childcare Class" program will be operated from the end of this month until the end of November.

This program reflects the desires of grandparents who want to learn the latest childcare information and quality educational methods, and it was prepared to provide various childcare information to grandparents to boost their confidence in raising children.

It also aims to alleviate vague anxieties caused by differences in parenting styles and lack of emotional support.

The "Precious Our Grandchildren Childcare Class" will be held at the Health Education Room of Nam-gu Health Center on the 5th floor of Nam-gu Office, starting on October 30, and will be conducted a total of four times on November 9, 16, and 23.

The educational content includes emergency treatment for infants and toddlers, safety accident response methods, resolving parenting conflicts, childcare tips according to child development characteristics, and horticultural therapy for grandparents' self-care.

The participants are grandparents and prospective grandparents residing in the district, with 20 people recruited per session.
