Sejong Center for the Performing Arts announced on the 17th that the "Jung Jae-il Concert - Listen" will be held at the Grand Theater on December 15 and 16. This is Jung Jae-il's first solo concert in Korea in three years since his performance at Blue Square in Seoul in 2020.

Jung Jae-il is a composer and musician who has gained worldwide attention as the music director of Squid Game and Parasite. Earlier on the 1st, he received a standing ovation from the local audience by showcasing music that combines piano, traditional Korean music, and orchestra during a collaboration with the London Symphony Orchestra at the Barbican Centre in London, UK.

In this concert, Jung Jae-il will present his solo album Listen, released through Decca, Universal Music's classical label, to domestic audiences for the first time. He will also perform the original soundtracks (OSTs) of Squid Game and Parasite, which are familiar to the public.

Jung Jae-il is an artist who has built his own musical world by moving between popular music and classical music. Starting as the bassist of the band Geeks at the age of 17, he has composed and produced for famous singers such as Panic, Park Hyo-shin, and IU. He has worked on OSTs for films and dramas including Parasite, Squid Game, Temptation of Wolves, Okja, and Broker. Recently, he has been actively involved in the music production for director Bong Joon-ho's upcoming work Mickey 17.

Jung Jae-il said, "It’s been a long time since I had a solo concert," adding, "This is also the premiere of my solo album Listen, which consists of piano, orchestra, and traditional instruments, so I feel very excited and nervous at the same time."

Jung Jae-il is set to release a new traditional Korean music EP titled A Prayer on November 3. The CD album of Listen will also be released through Universal Music Korea.

Concert tickets will be available for reservation starting from the 31st at Sejong Center for the Performing Arts, Interpark, Melon Ticket, and YES24.
