Gochang-gun's 'Goindol Media Art' Concludes Successfully... Over 36,000 Visitors

From the 15th of last month to the 14th of this month, more than 36,000 people visited the '2023 Gochang Dolmen Site Cultural Heritage Media Art' held around the Dolmen Museum in Gochang-gun, Jeonbuk, concluding successfully.


According to the county on the 17th, this Dolmen media art event saw a fivefold increase compared to last year, earning evaluations that it "opened a new horizon for Gochang-gun's nighttime tourism content."

Under the theme "A 3,000-year time travel that begins to circulate again the moment a shooting star falls - Starlight Journey," the Dolmen media art was meticulously organized into 11 zones, including Awakening Dolmen, Bridge of Time, and Prehistoric Village of Inspiration, providing tourists with a variety of attractions.


In particular, the main media facade utilizing the natural dolmen site featured a large-scale content of an overwhelming size of 5,200㎡, combined with vivid sound and dazzling lighting, evoking awe and emotion from many tourists.


Additionally, interactive content that visitors could directly engage with, storytelling night walks with cultural tourism guides, and a drone light show illuminating the night sky over the dolmen site offered a fantastic experience on the deepening autumn nights.


County Governor Shim Deok-seop said, "By integrating cutting-edge digital content technology, we were able to reinterpret the Gochang Dolmen site and share its outstanding universal value," adding, "We will continue to do our best to utilize and promote the excellence of Gochang-gun's World Heritage."
