7 Areas Including 3·15 Haeyang Nuri Park
The 5th Changwon International Democracy Film Festival (CIDFF), hosted by the Changwon International Democracy Film Festival Organizing Committee and the Buma Democratic Uprising Memorial Project Association, will welcome audiences with 60 films, director talks, lectures, and exhibitions over 16 days from the 18th to November 2nd at Cine Art Rizom, 3·15 Haeyang Nuri Park, Changwon Maison de France, Espace Rizom, Changwon Yongji Park, and other venues.
Divided into seven main sections, the Changwon International Democracy Film Festival offers a diverse lineup including the first section ▲Film Art ▲Guest Country - France ▲44th Anniversary of the Buma Democratic Uprising ▲This Year’s Korean Independent Film Director Outing ▲Claude Chabrol Retrospective ▲Seoul Independent Film Festival Short Film Indipicnic 2023 ▲Special Screening of Peruvian Films, featuring 60 films and opportunities to meet 12 directors, actors, and Kang Young-ja.
Additionally, this year, in collaboration with the French Cultural Center ‘One Maison de France,’ opened in 2021, and in connection with the Versailles School of Art in France, an exhibition featuring 11 students and professors and a friendship exhibition will be held, allowing visitors to enjoy exhibitions alongside the films.
A representative of the Changwon International Democracy Film Festival Organizing Committee stated, “The festival’s efforts to establish Changwon as a city brand and a sacred place of democracy continue this year,” and urged, “Don’t miss the joy of watching 60 films in the eco-friendly city of Changwon through outdoor screenings at 3·15 Haeyang Nuri Park.”
