"CEO Baek Administered First Aid Immediately Upon Seeing Collapsed Employee"
"Golden Time Saved by Quick Action"
Baek Jong-won, CEO of The Born Korea, was revealed late to have saved a restaurant employee who lost consciousness and collapsed through cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR).
According to The Born Korea on the 16th, CEO Baek witnessed a restaurant employee collapse while dining with Park Beom-in, the mayor of Geumsan-gun, Chungnam, and the head of the Tourism Corporation at a restaurant in Geumsan-gun on the 11th.
At the time, CEO Baek was visiting Geumsan to sign a business agreement related to the development of specialized food for the Geumsan World Ginseng Festival with the Tourism Corporation.
The restaurant immediately called 119, and until the ambulance arrived, CEO Baek performed CPR. Fortunately, the employee regained consciousness and was later handed over to 119 and transported to the hospital.
A restaurant official recalled to Ilgan Sports, "As soon as CEO Baek saw the employee staggering and collapsing, he rushed out and attempted emergency treatment. Because of the quick action, the golden time was preserved," adding, "If it weren't for CEO Baek, it would have been a truly dangerous moment."
Regarding this, a representative from The Born Korea said, "CEO Baek had basic knowledge of CPR due to his experience serving as an officer in the military," and added, "He said that anyone could do such a thing in that kind of situation."
Meanwhile, CEO Baek, born in 1966 in Yesan, Chungnam, founded the dining specialized company The Born Korea in 1994.
