A man in his 40s who left a weapon in front of Minister of Justice Han Dong-hoon's house in the early morning hours was arrested by the police.

On the 14th, the Suseo Police Station in Seoul tracked the suspect's movements through closed-circuit television (CCTV) and other means, and arrested Mr. A (42) in Seongnae-dong, Gangdong-gu, Seoul, around 2 p.m. that day.
Mr. A is suspected of leaving a weapon and an ignition torch in front of the entrance door of the minister's apartment in Dogok-dong, Gangnam-gu, Seoul, around 3 a.m. on the 11th. Minister Han attended the Ministry of Justice's National Assembly inspection by the Legislation and Judiciary Committee that day.
On the 14th, the Suseo Police Station in Seoul tracked the suspect's movements through closed-circuit television (CCTV) and other means, and arrested A (42) in Seongnae-dong, Gangdong-gu, Seoul, around 2 p.m. that day.
According to the police, Mr. A reportedly reached the minister's house via stairs without CCTV coverage. The police received a petition submitted by the apartment security team the previous day and began an investigation.
The police plan to investigate Mr. A's motive and circumstances of the crime and then consider applying for an arrest warrant on charges including trespassing.
