Most Koreans face two life-changing battles in their twenties. After the entrance exam battle at the threshold of their twenties, the employment battle awaits.

In addition to large-scale nationwide job fairs held during the employment and graduation seasons, numerous job fairs organized by basic local governments are held this month. Even if they are not large "well-known events," many provide valuable information, allowing attendees to gain insights into employment trends and know-how.

Yangcheon-gu will hold a Youth Job Talk Concert for young people on the 21st of this month. At the talk concert held at the Yangcheon Youth Job Cafe, employment seniors working at major companies such as Samsung Electronics and LG Group will come out to share their insights and employment preparation tips with young people who are vaguely preparing for employment.

Employees from Samsung Electronics Memory Division, LG HR team, secondary battery companies S and L, and IT companies N and K will all participate to explain their respective fields and provide resume and self-introduction letter review guidance.

Seodaemun-gu, which will hold a job information fair at the district office auditorium on the 16th, plans to conduct one-on-one on-site interviews aiming to hire about 280 employees from 27 companies. Co-hosted with the Seoul Western Employment and Labor Office and Seodaemun-gu Job Governance, the event will also offer activities such as resume photo shoots, resume and self-introduction letter consulting, VR experiences, and finding one’s personal color.

Gangdong-gu will hold the "2023 Gangdong Job Fair" at the district office Open Yard on the 19th of this month. A total of 45 companies will participate directly or indirectly in this fair. At the on-site recruitment hall, HR managers from 22 companies will attend to provide one-on-one customized job consultations and recruitment interviews. The promotional hall will feature the Eastern Technical Training Institute introducing employment-related education programs, and the Gangdong Women’s Human Resources Development Center and Gangdong 50 Plus Center will offer employment counseling and support.

A dedicated booth for youth job counseling will also be operated. Prior to the event, instructor Ko Myung-hwan, the protagonist of the "1 Billion Won Sales Success Story," will be invited to hold a talk concert on startup success. Jo Jeong-sook, head of the Gangdong-gu Job Policy Division, said, “We will strive to provide quality jobs to residents by utilizing local resources and networks.”

Yeongdeungpo-gu and Geumcheon-gu will hold the "Middle-aged and Senior Hope Employment Fair" for middle-aged job seekers at the Yeouido FKI Tower (Federation of Korean Industries Tower) Conference Center on the 19th. Targeting mainly the 40s to 60s age group, the event will provide one-stop services from on-site interviews to job counseling and recruitment.

Co-hosted with the Hankyung Association Middle-aged Tomorrow Center and Seoul Southern Employment and Labor Office, this job fair will operate 39 booths including a company recruitment hall conducting one-on-one on-site interviews, an auxiliary event hall offering one-stop employment services, and an employment support hall providing personalized employment support programs. Twenty-five companies, including Korea McDonald’s, Hyundai Green Food, CJ Freshway, and KTcs, will participate in the company recruitment hall. Current HR managers will provide detailed company information such as desired talent, job descriptions, and welfare systems, and conduct recruitment through one-on-one on-site interviews with job seekers.

Job seekers visiting the fair can also receive about ten types of employment services such as resume consultation, resume photo shoots, and senior job guidance. Yeongdeungpo-gu Job Plus Center, Hankyung Association Middle-aged Tomorrow Center, Seoul Southern Employment and Labor Office, and Geumcheon-gu Job Center will provide customized job counseling and guide employment support programs for middle-aged and senior job seekers.

Through this fair, a total of about 300 jobs in various fields such as dining, office work, and sales will be offered. It is recommended to bring an ID card, resume, and self-introduction letter on the day of the event. Yeongdeungpo-gu and Geumcheon-gu will also continue to support employment connections by providing customized recruitment information considering job fields and individual characteristics even after the job fair.
