SDT Unveils IP Camera Blocking Hacking at the Source with Quantum Technology

SDT Showcased at the 'International Security Industry Expo'

SDT (CEO Yoon Ji-won) announced that it will participate in the "International Security Industry Expo" held at Songdo Convensia, Incheon, from the 18th to the 21st. The IP camera introduced this time is a product that provides perfect security based on quantum technology. SDT participated as a consortium last year in the "Science and Technology Public Research Outcome Commercialization Promotion Pilot Project" promoted by the Ministry of Science and ICT and the National Police Agency, together with the Korea Institute of Science and Technology (KIST), Kookmin University, and Dream Security, developing an IP camera that fundamentally blocks hacking by protecting all processes from image generation to video transmission with quantum technology.

The IP camera introduced at this International Security Industry Expo uses "quantum random number generation technology," which generates unpredictable true random numbers by utilizing quantum mechanical properties. In particular, it generates random numbers by using a conventional image sensor installed in the camera without using separate random number generation equipment or modules. This not only shortens the development period but also enables random number generation without expensive equipment, thereby reducing development costs, which had been a major obstacle to commercialization.

SDT plans to enter domestic and overseas public markets based on the security excellence of the newly introduced quantum technology-based IP camera. Yoon Ji-won, CEO of SDT, said, "Along with this IP camera business, we will contribute to enhancing the competitiveness of the domestic quantum technology industry through the development of various industrial applications based on quantum technology in the future."
