Seocho-gu is recruiting participants for the second half of 2023 Seocho Youth Craft (Pre-Startup Course), scheduled to operate from October.
Seocho-gu, Seoul (Mayor Jeon Seong-su) is running the ‘Seocho Youth Craft Pre-Startup Course’ to support employment and entrepreneurship of young people involved in crafts who live or work in Seocho-gu through various handicraft education programs. Accordingly, a total of 21 young people wishing to find jobs or start businesses will be recruited by the 16th.
The education is divided into three courses: ▲rattan craft ▲knitting craft ▲soap craft, and will be held from 7:00 PM to 8:30 PM every Tuesday and Thursday starting from the 24th, for a total of 16 sessions. The venue is Seocho One-Person Household Support Center (90-1 Yangjae-dong, 4th floor of Yangjae Public Parking Lot).
In particular, marketing and startup know-how helpful for young people’s employment and entrepreneurship related to crafts will also be taught. Outstanding graduates will be connected to participate as sellers at the weekend Yangjaecheon Free Market, ‘Yangjae Art Salon.’
The district expects that this ‘Craft Pre-Startup Course’ will help young people succeed in employment and entrepreneurship, and also contribute to revitalizing the Yangjaecheon-gil commercial district by securing regular sales channels at the Yangjaecheon Free Market.
The recruitment target is any young person under 39 years old interested in handicrafts, and applications can be made through the QR code on the poster.
