On the morning of the 12th, Lee Gijae, Mayor of Yangcheon District, attended the remodeling opening ceremony of the senior citizens' cafeteria at Yangcheon Senior Welfare Center in Sinjeong 7-dong.
Since August, the district has completed improvements to the kitchen, dining hall, food storage, and lounge areas through about two months of remodeling, creating a warm atmosphere using birch wood panels and enhancing convenience by replacing outdated kitchen equipment.
About 100 people, including Mayor Lee Gijae of Yangcheon District, members of the National Assembly, district council members, and senior citizens who use the facility, attended the opening ceremony, which proceeded with a progress report, congratulatory speeches, ribbon-cutting, and meal distribution support.
Mayor Lee Gijae of Yangcheon District said, “We have completed the renovation so that our senior citizens can enjoy high-quality meals in a pleasant and clean space. We hope many will visit, and we will do our best to make Yangcheon a city where seniors can enjoy a vibrant second chapter of their lives.”
