Jangseong-gun, Jeollanam-do announced on the 12th that it will hold the ‘Yolo and Jangseong The Bureo Festival’ organized by the Jangseong-gun Rural New Vitality Plus Project Group at the Jangseong-gun Hong Gil-dong Theme Park from the 14th to the 15th.
This festival is attracting attention as it will feature movie screenings for the whole family and a video contest participated in by students.
The film club J-moment, formed by residents of Jangseong-eup, planned the event under the theme ‘A Festival for Everyone with Movies.’ Visitors can comfortably enjoy the festival by sitting on mats spread out on the lawn square, as if on a picnic.
First, at 1 p.m. on the 14th, a ‘Quiz Show’ will be held where Jangseong agricultural specialty products will be given as prizes. Following that, the ‘The Bureo Festival Video Contest’ will take place, awarding videos submitted by elementary and middle school students from Jangseong-gun and Gwangju Metropolitan City. There will also be a time to watch the winning entries in person.
The movie screenings will be held over two days. On the first day, the films ‘Wall-E’ and ‘Coco’ will be shown, and on the 15th, ‘The Man Who Planted Trees’ and ‘E.T.’ will be screened.
The ‘The Bureo Experience Package’ program is also highly anticipated. It consists of forest play experiences such as rope play in the forest and making seed necklaces, as well as a ‘Experience Bundle’ including making potato bread, triangular rice ball lunchboxes, and leather crafts. Although the package is worth about 50,000 won, it can be enjoyed at a discounted price of 26,000 won, and advance reservations are accepted.

In addition, there are various attractions such as an ‘Outdoor Mission Tour’ where participants explore Hong Gil-dong Theme Park solving riddles, the ‘Nolleowa Market,’ balloon art, and bubble shows.
A county official said, “Since the festival coincides with the Hwangryonggang Autumn Flower Festival, many visitors are expected. We will prepare thoroughly so that it can be remembered as a happy and enjoyable time.”
