115 Hwasun Fire Station Staff and Firefighter Families Donate 10 Million Won
On the 11th, Hwasun Fire Station held a hometown love donation ceremony and delivered a donation of 10 million won, containing the precious hearts of its employees, to Hwasun County.
According to the county on the 12th, this donation involved 115 participants, including fire station employees and fire families, who sympathized with the purpose of the hometown love donation system, which aims to revitalize the local economy and improve residents' welfare.
The donation ceremony was attended by Gu Bok-gyu, the governor of Hwasun County, Ha Seong-dong, chairman of the Hwasun County Council, and Im Ji-rak and Ryu Ki-jun, members of the Jeonnam Provincial Assembly.
They listened to the main status of Hwasun Fire Station and also took time to observe electric vehicle fire suppression training.
Choi Hyung-ho, chief of Hwasun Fire Station, said, “Our fire station is doing its best in fire dispatch, life rescue, and emergency activities to protect local residents from various safety accidents,” adding, “It is very meaningful to be able to contribute to the development of Hwasun County through participation in the hometown love donation system.”
Governor Gu Bok-gyu stated, “The fire station is a very important institution that protects residents' lives and property and creates a safe living environment. I am always grateful for the hard work of the employees who actively work on-site for residents despite difficult conditions.”
He added, “We will properly convey the sincere hearts of the fire station employees who participated in the hometown love donation system to the residents and create a happy Hwasun where everyone can smile without any residents being left out.”
Meanwhile, Hwasun Fire Station, as a return gift for the hometown love donation system, visits houses directly to minimize casualties from residential fires by installing fire safety kits (fire extinguishers, fire alarm detectors) and providing safety inspections and educational services.
