Yongin City Recruiting 28 Members for Disaster Impact Assessment Review Committee

Four Fields: Rivers and Water Resources, Slopes and Soil, Structures and Disaster Prevention, Urban Planning

Yongin City in Gyeonggi Province announced on the 12th that it will publicly recruit 28 experts to serve on the Disaster Impact Assessment Review Committee until the 24th.

Disaster impact assessment is a procedure that analyzes potential disaster-causing factors in advance before approving various development projects or urban planning projects to minimize property and human damage.


The recruitment fields are ▲ rivers and water resources ▲ slopes and soil ▲ structures and disaster prevention ▲ urban planning, totaling four areas.


Eligibility requirements include ▲ individuals who are associate professors or higher at junior colleges or comprehensive universities ▲ those with a doctoral degree and at least three years of research or practical experience in the relevant field ▲ those with a master's degree and at least five years of research or practical experience in the relevant field ▲ those who have obtained a professional engineer license and have at least five years of practical experience in the relevant field.


Selected committee members will participate in disaster impact assessments for the city's administrative plans (47 types) and development projects (59 types) from December 1 this year to November 30, 2025, reviewing and deliberating to ensure that disaster prevention measures are reflected in the project implementation plans.


The city will screen qualifications and experience to select the final candidates and notify them individually.
