Support for Supplying Serving and Disinfection Robots to Small Business Owners Starting from the 11th
Gumi City and Gyeongbuk Province will pilot the '2023 AI+ Service Robot Distribution Support Project,' the first of its kind among local governments, to strengthen the competitiveness of local small business owners and revitalize the service robot manufacturing ecosystem.
With a goal to distribute 45 service robots (serving robots and disinfection robots) by the end of the year, small business owners will be recruited on a first-come, first-served basis from October 11 until the budget is exhausted.
Applicants can refer to the announcement on the Gyeongbuk Economic Promotion Agency website for application details.
Small business owners operating offline stores located in Gumi City are eligible to apply. After on-site consulting by the managing company to review the feasibility of implementing service robots, the final support recipients will be selected. Selected small business owners will receive support covering up to 75% of the monthly installment payment per robot for 36 months.
Mayor Kim Jang-ho stated, “Through the distribution of AI serving and disinfection robots, we expect to alleviate labor cost burdens for local small business owners and improve management efficiency by resolving labor shortages. We also hope this will lead to the revitalization of the robot manufacturing ecosystem and enhancement of manufacturing capabilities within the Gumi industrial complex.”
