Samsung Electronics Surpasses MS and Apple... Forbes 'Best Workplace' 1st Place for 4 Consecutive Years

Ranking of Companies Selected Through Surveys of Over 170,000 Employees in More Than 50 Countries

On the 10th (local time), Samsung Electronics ranked first for the fourth consecutive year in the "World's Best Workplaces" evaluation announced by the U.S. economic magazine Forbes. Among the top 20 companies, Samsung Electronics is the only Asian company.

Forbes collaborated with the German public opinion research firm Statista to conduct a survey of 170,000 people across more than 50 countries, including South Korea, the United States, the United Kingdom, Germany, China, India, and Vietnam, and announced the rankings of 700 companies. Employees participating in the survey responded about their company's social responsibility, economic performance, and working conditions, and also evaluated whether they would recommend other companies in the same industry, as well as their positive or negative images.

This year, leading U.S. and European companies such as Microsoft (MS, 2nd), Alphabet (3rd), Apple (4th), and Ferrari (5th) ranked high, while Samsung Electronics was selected as number one for four consecutive years from 2020 to 2023. This indicates that employee satisfaction and pride in Samsung Electronics are higher compared to other companies, and the perception within the same industry is also positive.

Forbes highlighted top companies including Samsung Electronics, emphasizing the importance of growth opportunities, global collaboration, remote work, and giving meaning to work. Samsung Electronics continuously innovates its working environment, systems, and work culture so that employees can focus on their tasks in a comfortable and safe environment. Beyond work, it offers various programs such as in-house cafeterias, company clinics, fitness centers, and psychological counseling centers.

Additionally, Samsung Electronics increases employee participation and pride in the company through social contribution programs that benefit local communities, such as the in-house venture program "C-Lab Inside," the Employee Resource Group (ERG), a voluntary networking group of employees sharing common interests in diversity and inclusion, and programs like "Solve for Tomorrow" and "Samsung Innovation Campus."

Moreover, Samsung Electronics operates platforms and programs such as the in-house idea-sharing platform "MOSAIC," the "STEP (Samsung Talent Exchange Program)" which facilitates mutual exchange work between outstanding domestic and international talents, and "The UniverSE (The University of Samsung Electronics)," which provides integrated job and leadership training to support employees in growing as global leaders.

Meanwhile, Samsung Electronics strengthened its status as a global brand by ranking 5th for the third consecutive year with a brand value of $87.7 billion in the "Global 100 Brands" announced last year by Interbrand, a global brand consulting firm.
