The Korea AI Education Association and Jembros signed a business partnership agreement (MOU) at 11 a.m. on the 10th at Jembros' office in Nonhyeon-dong, Gangnam-gu, Seoul, agreeing to cooperate for mutual development. Through this agreement, attempts to link artificial intelligence (AI) education with the digitalization of the jewelry industry will be made, and it is expected that the traditionally manual jewelry industry, such as jewelry crafting and jewelry design, will be revitalized sooner through collaboration using generative AI in many fields in the future.
The signing ceremony of the business agreement between Jembros (Chairman Hong Sang-gyu, left) and the Korea AI Education Association (Chairman Moon Hyung-nam, right).
Moon Hyung-nam, president of the Korea AI Education Association, stated, “On June 26, we announced the nation’s first ‘Generative AI Utilization Guidelines’ for all citizens. Now, both basic education on ChatGPT for the entire population and specialized training are necessary, and based on this foundation, we have decided to conduct in-depth research on the application of AI in the jewelry industry.”
Hong Sang-gyu, chairman of Jembros, said, “Although I have worked in the jewelry industry for over 40 years, I regretted not having a spirit that matches the development of the digital civilization era. By finding mutually beneficial areas with the Korea AI Education Association and creating a shared vision, we believe that a good path will open through seeking ways to coexist.”
On this day, by signing the agreement related to their work, Jembros emphasized starting with small mutually beneficial actions, striving to assist each other in marketing, and committing sincerely to AI education for company employees and marketing of jewelry products.
The association, in cooperation with Jembros, is expected to lead the domestic industrial sector in generative AI utilization education, gradually continuing basic and specialized training to present the highest level AI education platform in Korea. Accordingly, Jembros has agreed to provide benefits from a cultural welfare perspective if the association and its members assist with marketing.
Jembros was founded in 1984 as ‘Green World,’ its predecessor, and was incorporated as Jembros in 1992. It is a long-standing company with 40 years in the jewelry field.
Established in 2020, the Korea AI Education Association has been offering free online AI education every two weeks to the general public and citizens lacking expertise on ChatGPT amid the ChatGPT craze. It promotes practical and specialized AI education programs linked with industry-academia-research cooperation to enhance professionalism and satisfaction.
