The three major indices of the U.S. New York Stock Exchange closed slightly higher on Monday, the 9th (local time), despite the armed conflict between Israel and the Palestinian militant group Hamas.
On that day, the Dow Jones Industrial Average rose 0.59% from the previous session to close. The S&P 500, which focuses on large-cap stocks, increased by 0.63%, and the tech-heavy Nasdaq rose 0.39%.
International oil prices surged more than 4% amid growing concerns over geopolitical risks.
