Recruiting 300 Families to Participate in the Event
Yongin City in Gyeonggi Province announced on the 9th that it will hold a carbon-neutral picnic event called 'Decorating Carbon-Neutral Umbrellas' on the 28th at the Yongin Arpia Soccer Field and Plaza in Suji District.
This event is themed 'Practicing Carbon Neutrality to Lower the Earth's Temperature and Protect the Habitat of Polar Bears.'
At the event, participants will be provided with one umbrella and an 8-cut drawing paper for practice. Participants are to draw pictures related to carbon neutrality on the umbrella. There are no restrictions on art tools. Participants must bring their own art supplies, oil-based pens, tables, and mats.
The city is recruiting 300 families with children divided into daycare, kindergarten, and elementary school groups by the 18th. Group participation from art academies, schools, and other organizations is also possible.

The city plans to conduct this event as a 'single-use item-free event.' There will be no separate awards for the artworks.
At the venue, there will also be balloon performances, carbon-neutral children's musical performances, and various carbon-neutral practice experience booths.
A city official stated, "We will continue to prepare various policies so that citizens can practice carbon-neutral actions."
