Rock and Books Together... The Grand Opening of the 'Yangcheon Autumn Culture Festival'

Yangcheon-gu (Mayor Lee Gijae) is currently hosting the ‘Yangcheon Autumn Cultural Festival 2023’ on the 7th and 8th at the Seoseoul Lake Park area, where visitors can enjoy rock concerts, a book festival, and various experience booths all in one place. On the evening of the 7th, the festival’s grand opening was marked by a medley of hit songs performed by singer Seomuntak and the Kim Kyungho Band on the outdoor stage at Sinwol Baseball Stadium.

Planned in the style of a forest festival, ‘Foresti-val (Forest+Festival),’ this event began with a congratulatory performance by singer Seomuntak, known for his explosive vocal power, and the Kim Kyungho Band. On the 8th, Crying Nut, Harry Big Button, and Adios Audio will take the stage to continue the festival’s lively atmosphere.

During the same period, a book festival is also being held at the Culture Deck Plaza, Seoseoul Arts Education Center, and Mondrian Garden. Featuring unique programs centered around books such as a reading encouragement magic show, author lectures, reading performances, and fairy tale concerts, the festival also includes about 40 diverse cultural experience booths involving local bookstores, cooperatives, libraries, and schools, providing a rich lineup to nourish the mind and drawing enthusiastic responses from visitors.

Visiting Seoseoul Lake Park and communicating with residents throughout the festival site, Lee Gijae, Mayor of Yangcheon-gu, said, "I hope everyone spends a weekend full of romance and passion with their families through this festival, which combines Yangcheon’s healthy nature and cultural infrastructure."
