Although Korea will be under the edge of a high-pressure system moving eastward over the northern East Sea on the 9th, the central region is expected to be affected by a trough passing north of the country from afternoon to night.

Most areas will experience rain that will stop before the 10th, but in Gangwon Yeongseo and Gangwon Yeongdong, precipitation is expected to continue until the early dawn and morning of the 10th, respectively.

Expected rainfall amounts are 5 to 20 mm in northeastern Gyeonggi, northwestern Gangwon Yeongseo, Gangwon Yeongdong, Ulleungdo, and Dokdo, and around 5 mm in other regions.

Although the rainfall will not be heavy, gusty winds and thunder with lightning are expected in the Seoul metropolitan area and Gangwon Province during the rain.

Separately from the rain in the central region, about 5 mm of rain is expected in the mountainous areas of Jeju on the 9th afternoon.

The lowest temperatures on the morning of the 9th will range from 9 to 18 degrees Celsius, and the highest temperatures during the day will be between 20 and 25 degrees Celsius. The lowest and highest temperatures in major cities are expected to be 14°C and 22°C in Seoul, 15°C and 21°C in Incheon, 13°C and 22°C in Daejeon, 14°C and 23°C in Gwangju and Daegu, 16°C and 22°C in Ulsan, and 18°C and 24°C in Busan.

In the southwestern sea of the South Sea and the northern offshore waters of Jeju, where a strong wind warning has been issued, winds will blow at speeds of 35 to 60 km/h, and waves will reach heights of 2 to 4 meters until the day ends.

Strong winds and high waves are forecasted until dawn on the 9th in the eastern offshore waters of the southwestern South Sea, until the morning of the 9th in the southern inner offshore waters and eastern offshore waters of Jeju, and until the afternoon of the 9th in the southern outer offshore waters of Jeju and the outer eastern offshore waters of the South Sea.
