On the morning of the 7th, Lee Gijae, Mayor of Yangcheon District, visited the site of the ‘Haewoori Sharing Market’ held at Yangcheon Park to communicate with residents and check out the market items.
Yangcheon District (Mayor Lee Gijae) operates the Saturday flea market ‘Haewoori Sharing Market’ every year to promote resource circulation and spread recycling culture. To make it a place for economic and environmental education, the participation of teams with children is being expanded, and a free used goods sharing booth and a campaign to reduce disposable products are also being promoted simultaneously.
Since 2018, a total of 15 events have been held, with about 1,800 households participating. A voluntary donation box that donates 10% of sales proceeds to the Yangcheon Love Welfare Foundation is operated, leading the practice of neighborly love.
On the morning of the event, Lee Gijae, Mayor of Yangcheon District, said, “We hope for much interest and participation in the sharing market, which can reduce unnecessary resource waste and contribute to environmental protection.”
