President Yoon Suk-yeol recently discussed ways to develop bilateral relations with Crown Prince and Prime Minister Mohammed bin Salman of Saudi Arabia.
The Blue House announced in a press release on the 7th that President Yoon had a phone conversation with Crown Prince bin Salman on the 6th, during which they talked about cooperation between the two countries.
President Yoon and Crown Prince Mohammed highly evaluated that bilateral cooperation has been actively progressing in a wider range of fields than ever since November last year, and agreed to further strengthen exchanges and cooperation in various areas. In particular, President Yoon and Crown Prince bin Salman also discussed economic cooperation, including investment.
Crown Prince Mohammed visited Korea on November 17 last year and held talks with President Yoon, among other scheduled events. Additionally, on the occasion of Crown Prince Mohammed’s visit, Korean and Saudi public institutions and companies signed investment contracts and memorandums of understanding (MOUs) worth $29 billion (approximately 40 trillion won) in sectors such as energy, construction, and bio.
