Recent Establishment of the 'TOP Chujin Team'

Hanwha Ocean has launched an internal idea contest with a reward of up to 300 million KRW to establish a sustainable cost structure.


Hanwha Ocean recently established the ‘TOP (Total Operational Performance) Promotion TF’ (hereinafter referred to as the Promotion Team) to create a company that can generate stable profits regardless of market fluctuations.


Through this organization, Hanwha Ocean plans to build a sustainable cost structure and lay the foundation for achieving stable financial performance in the mid to long term.


Accordingly, the Promotion Team has launched an idea contest for cost reduction with rewards offered to all employees.


This idea contest will provide rewards at each stage, including proposal, participation, and execution.


In addition to the highest number of proposals and excellent proposals, exceptional execution rewards will be given for the achievements generated by implementing cost reduction tasks.


The financial effect of the execution tasks will be verified, and up to 300 million KRW, equivalent to 1% of the resulting performance, will be paid.


The Promotion Team, consisting of experts from all company fields such as production, design, and purchasing, is setting company-wide cost reduction targets and identifying tasks to achieve these goals by January next year.

A Hanwha Ocean official said, “We expect the results of this TOP activity to organically combine the world-class technology and know-how accumulated so far to create greater synergy.”


Through these efforts, Hanwha Ocean plans to leap forward as a ‘Global Ocean Solution Provider’ leading the paradigm shift in the future marine industry, focusing on four areas: ultra-gap defense, eco-friendly and digital ship technology, offshore wind power, and smart yards.


Hanwha Ocean has also announced a goal to surpass 30 trillion KRW in sales and 5 trillion KRW in operating profit by 2040, alongside this strategy.
