Icheon Ginseng Festival Held from 27th to 29th

Gyeonggi-do Icheon City announced on the 4th that it will hold the 'Icheon Ginseng Festival,' which had been suspended for four years due to COVID-19 and the national mourning period related to the Itaewon tragedy, for three days from the 27th to the 29th.

This year's event, held under the theme 'Sharing Happiness with Icheon Ginseng, Sharing Health with Icheon Ginseng,' will take place around the Sindun-myeon Icheon Ginseng Sales Center.

Organized by the Donggyeong Ginseng Agricultural Cooperative and sponsored by Icheon City, the festival will feature various performances, ginseng food, and experiential events.

The city plans to introduce the benefits of Icheon ginseng, methods of consuming ginseng, and foods utilizing ginseng through this event.

During the festival, sales booths will operate to sell specialty products such as GAP-certified six-year-old fresh ginseng at affordable prices. Additionally, experiential events such as ginseng foot baths, sujichim (acupuncture with finger needles), selecting ginseng seeds, matching ginseng weight, and face painting will be offered, along with a food market providing ginseng-related foods.

Kim Kyung-hee, mayor of Icheon City, said, "We will strive to increase the income of ginseng farmers and supply excellent six-year-old ginseng to citizens through this event."
