In Uiseong-gun, the Ureongi farming method, which reduces pesticide use and preserves soil environment to meet the demand for eco-friendly and safe food in the distribution market, is being actively encouraged. This year, 24 tons of juvenile Ureongi snails were supplied over 800 hectares.
County Governor Kim Jusu said, “The export of eco-friendly rice is a result of recognizing the excellence of Uiseong rice. We will continue to strengthen export competitiveness by promoting various support projects such as pioneering overseas markets and creating export conditions.”
