ResearchAlum analyzed on the 4th that ATEC Mobility will benefit as the government fosters the autonomous driving industry.
Choi Seonghwan, a researcher at ResearchAlum, explained, "The government is actively promoting the 'Mobility Innovation Roadmap' project," adding, "Last month, the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport revealed plans to commercialize Level 4 fully autonomous buses and taxis without drivers by 2025, and fully autonomous passenger cars by 2027."
He continued, "The government will establish the next-generation Intelligent Transport System (C-ITS) across 110,000 km of nationwide highways, national roads, and local roads by 2030," adding, "C-ITS is a system where vehicles communicate with each other and with infrastructure in real time to enhance driving efficiency."
He emphasized, "It can respond quickly to unexpected situations on the road," and "It enables the detection of information such as sudden braking, acceleration, and collisions, making it an essential technology for autonomous driving."
Researcher Choi analyzed, "ATEC Mobility is the operator that maintains and services all bus, taxi, and charging terminals installed by T-money in Korea," and "It is expected to benefit from the government's C-ITS construction." He added, "Among its main products, bus driver terminals, traffic information displays, and taxi terminals are utilized as ITS-based infrastructure that provides real-time traffic information, controls intersections, and adjusts bus intervals."
He said, "They are also already supplying integrated city bus terminals, bus display devices, and express bus operation recorders that can be used for C-ITS."
