From the 26th, art works and more will be screened on the media glass installed at Yongdugyo Bridge on Jeongneungcheon... Operating daily from sunset to 11 PM, old railings removed to offer enjoyable experiences for strolling residents
Dongdaemun-gu (Mayor Lee Pil-hyung) installed media glass on Yongdu Bridge, which crosses Jeongneungcheon, capturing the attention of passersby.
As part of the development of a resident-friendly waterfront space around Jeongneungcheon, the district received a 500 million KRW budget from Seoul City to remove the old railing of Yongdu Bridge near Jegi-dong Station and install media glass, which began operation on September 26.
The installed media glass is a transparent LED display made of tempered glass, showing 15 media art pieces and seasonal screenings daily from sunset until 11 p.m. The district plans to continuously update the content in the future.
A resident passing under Yongdu Bridge said that the new attraction at Jeongneungcheon made nighttime walks more enjoyable, and after watching the works displayed on the media glass for a long time, they continued on their way.
Lee Pil-hyung, Mayor of Dongdaemun-gu, stated, “We will continue to develop and update content suitable for the Jeongneungcheon waterfront space, striving to make it a new nighttime landmark. We will also do our best to maintain clean and pleasant streets, including the waterfront promenade, to create a Dongdaemun-gu where people want to walk and live.”
