EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy "Support for Future Member Ukraine"

The European Union (EU) will hold a meeting of foreign ministers from its 27 member states in Kyiv, Ukraine, outside the EU borders for the first time in history.

Josep Borrell, the EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy, stated on June 2 (local time) in a post on X (formerly Twitter), "We have convened a historic meeting of foreign ministers in Ukraine, a candidate and future member of the EU."

He said, "We have come here to express our solidarity and support for our Ukrainians."

At this meeting, financial support plans for long-term military aid to Ukraine, as well as fighter jets and missile support through EU funds, are expected to be discussed.
