More than 100 passengers who departed from Incheon and traveled to Europe and African countries via Saudi Arabia are experiencing inconvenience due to lost luggage.
According to the aviation industry on the 1st, passengers on Saudi Arabian airline Saudia flight SV899 (B787), which departed from Incheon International Airport at 11:43 PM on the 27th of last month, transited through King Abdulaziz International Airport in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, and upon arriving at their final destinations such as London, Paris, Rome, and Cairo, did not receive their checked baggage.
It is believed that there was an issue during the baggage transfer process at the transit, and the luggage is likely still at King Abdulaziz Airport. Approximately 100 passengers were on the affected flight.
The affected passengers have gathered in a KakaoTalk open chat room to share their experiences and discuss countermeasures.
Some of the affected passengers’ travel agencies and consulates in the destination countries have received related reports and are reviewing support measures.
