On the 1st, the Seoul Mapo Cultural Foundation announced that as part of the '8th M Classic Festival,' it will hold 'Countertenor Jeong Min-ho - Baroque Season' on the 5th at the Art Hall MAC of Mapo Art Center in Mapo-gu, Seoul.

In this performance, Jeong Min-ho will deliver beautiful and sacred melodies from the Baroque era, ranging from German composer Handel to English composer Purcell, French composers Guillaume de Machaut and Charpentier, together with Camerata Antiqua Seoul.

Jeong Min-ho majored in vocal music and once conducted, but he was captivated by Baroque music and transitioned to a countertenor, mastering the highest male vocal range. He completed the highest performance course (early music vocal) at the Royal Conservatory of The Hague in the Netherlands and is currently actively performing as a Baroque music soloist in Europe. He is also a vocal coach for Collegium Vocale Seoul and actively performs as a Baroque music soloist on European stages.

Camerata Antiqua Seoul, founded in 2006, has presented dozens of classical masterpieces in collaboration with the National Chorus, National Opera Company, and Seoul City Opera Company. They continue to collaborate with world-renowned early music masters and hold regular concert series.

A representative of the Mapo Cultural Foundation said, "This performance is a golden opportunity to experience diverse works from various countries of the Baroque era presented by countertenor Jeong Min-ho and Camerata Antiqua Seoul," adding, "Just watching the stage of a countertenor with refined technique and brilliant expressiveness and an early music specialized ensemble promises a special autumn night experience."

Detailed performance information and ticket reservations are available on the Mapo Cultural Foundation website.
