Former President Moon Jae-in told Hong Ik-pyo, the newly appointed floor leader of the Democratic Party of Korea, on the 30th, "I hope you will manage the party well and lay the foundation for victory in next year's general election with united strength, giving hope to the people."

The Democratic Party's Public Relations Office announced through a notice that former President Moon made these remarks during a phone call with Floor Leader Hong on the same day.


Floor Leader Hong expressed his gratitude for former President Moon's encouragement and replied that he would do his best to win the by-election for the Mayor of Gangseo District, Seoul, scheduled for the 11th of next month.


Floor Leader Hong, who called former President Moon, said that due to various schedules, he was giving his inaugural greetings by phone first and promised to visit Yangsan with the floor leadership team as soon as possible.
