The e-commerce industry has launched various delivery promotions to capture demand for Chuseok gifts. By strengthening 'designated delivery,' which allows consumers to choose their own delivery time slots, and 'same-day delivery' promotions that enable receiving products on the same day, they plan to differentiate themselves from online channels such as department stores and large supermarkets.
According to the industry on the 28th, SSG.com is targeting the late Chuseok demand with 'Sseuk Delivery' gift sets and a 'Mobile Gifting' promotion until the day before Chuseok. Sseuk Delivery is a feature that allows consumers to specify the delivery time slot, enabling them to receive their orders from 2 PM at their preferred time. Additionally, if orders are placed by 1:30 PM on the 28th, the day before Chuseok, delivery will be made that evening.
SSG.com introduced Shinsegae Mall gift sets focusing on 'Quick Delivery' products that can be received on the same day and 'Morning Delivery' products that arrive by 8 AM the next day. Discount benefits are also provided for these products. Customers who purchase gift items and enter the event by the 29th can receive a payback benefit of up to 300,000 KRW depending on the payment amount.
The 'Mobile Gifting' promotion will continue until the 1st. Customers who purchase over 50,000 KRW through gifting will be given a 10% shopping cart coupon that can be used immediately on a first-come, first-served basis. Mobile Gifting is a feature that allows users to easily send products or coupons by simply knowing the recipient's mobile phone number.
Gmarket is also holding the 'Delivery Today' promotion until the 29th, offering discounts on same-day and dawn delivery products ranging from gift sets to ritual items. Products sold at Emart stores nationwide are delivered at the customer's preferred time slot among dawn, daytime, or nighttime. Additionally, customers purchasing same-day delivery products in collaboration with Homeplus and GS Fresh Mall receive various benefits. Membership members are provided with a 15% coupon, offering up to 3,000 KRW discount once daily.
