Shin Yu-bin, the leading female table tennis player of Korea Air, advanced to the round of 16 in the women's singles table tennis event at the 2022 Hangzhou Asian Games, overcoming a team event defeat.

On the 28th (Korean time), Shin Yu-bin won decisively 4-0 (11-2 11-1 11-4 11-4) against Padke Amit of Bahrain in the women's singles round of 32 held at the Gongshu Canal Sports Park Gymnasium in Hangzhou, China.


The match ended in just 23 minutes, demonstrating Shin Yu-bin's overwhelming victory. Having secured two sets within only 4 minutes, she consistently showcased dominant skills throughout the match.


Earlier, in the mixed doubles round of 16, Shin Yu-bin partnered with Lim Jong-hoon (Korea Exchange) to defeat the Japanese pair Togami Shunsuke and Kihara Miyu with a score of 3-1 (12-10 6-11 11-9 11-9).


After a disappointing bronze medal finish in the women's team event, Shin Yu-bin is showing excellent performance in individual mixed doubles and singles, increasing her chances of winning a medal.


On the same day at 5 p.m., Shin Yu-bin will compete in the women's doubles round of 32 alongside Jeon Ji-hee (Mirae Asset Securities) against the Thai pair Paranong Oranwan and Sawettabut Suthasini.
