KIB Plug Energy announced on the 26th that it has signed a contract worth 7.35 billion KRW with DL E&C for the supply of chemical plant equipment. This amount corresponds to 6.96% of last year's sales, and the contract period is from today until December 27 of next year.
On the 14th, KIB Plug Energy also secured an order worth 17.8 billion KRW for chemical plant equipment from Hyundai Engineering. There have been four large-scale disclosures this year, each exceeding 5% of recent sales, totaling 43.5 billion KRW.
The company stated, "By entering new high-growth energy businesses based on the stable performance of existing operations, we expect to level up our corporate value."
In July, KIB Plug Energy entered high value-added future businesses such as the hydrogen value chain. Subsequently, in August, the company acquired Beomhan Motors, a specialized electric and hydrogen bus company. Beomhan Motors has obtained all certifications from the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport for domestic production.
Meanwhile, on the 19th, KIB Plug Energy signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with Woosuk E&C to collaborate on hydrogen energy and waste plastic-related businesses. According to the MOU, KIB Plug Energy and Woosuk E&C will work together with Korea Power Engineering Company (KOPCO E&C) and the Institute of Advanced Engineering (IAE) to complete standardized design for syngas production technology and produce hydrogen and other syngases.
The company emphasized, "We will steadily lead new businesses both domestically and internationally in cooperation with various affiliates."
